Colin has joined the team of Systèmes Éconergie first as an installer and quickly became one of our foremen. He has several years of experience in landscape maintenance and residential renovation. Ambitious and likes to take up any type of challenge, he represents a real asset for the company.

There was only 5 to 10 inches of fiberglass batts for insulation in the attic which is not  sufficient for the climate of Quebec.
The attic was poorly insulated, and because of that, there were ice dams on the roof in the winter.  
Our client's attic had about 8" of blown wool, which is far from enough to have a comfortable home and keep the heat in the house.
There was only 6” thick wool mat in the attic. This is far from sufficient for the climate of Quebec.
There was only less than 10 in’ fiberglass in this attic.
Our client's attic was poorly insulated. Insufficient insulation and several air leaks.
The problem is that fiberglass will not protect from mold growth. In addition, it takes a lot of fiberglass for the insulation to be effective.
Air leaks and poor insulation in our client's attic caused ice dams on her roof in winter. There was only 10” of fiberglass insulation.
