Roofing replacement done in Madison, Connecticut. An amazing job done by our hardworking team members from Klaus Larsen Roofing. This roof replacement was made to replace old shingles and we delivered! 

This was a project from 2013, that brought us to Wethersfield, Connecticut. Before this home had a Klaus Larsen roof, the day was gloomy and bleak. We installed black shingles for the new roof and sunshine came with it. Disclaimer: Our work is not guaranteed to alter atmospheric conditions, but it certainly may help.  

Here we are in the thick of a project in Wethersfield, CT. The removal of your old roof can be quite the ordeal, but we keep the mess to a minimum with closely placed tarps. The only thing we leave behind is a great looking, long lasting roof.  

For this Wethersfield, CT project we tore off the existing roofing materials to be recycled. All debris was meticulously cleaned up, including nails which were picked up by a magnetic roller. In order to create a full moisture barrier, we installed a synthetic underlayment. This is a durable, tear-resistant material engineered to repel water and adhere to the roofing surface. We finished the project by installing a Copper Cat Algae Terminator on the rear roof above the porch. This double-sided copper strip prevents any growth of algae, moss or mold. 

The roof on this Wethersfield, Colonial was exceeding 20 years and was failing to protect the home. We totally removed the old shingles to be recycled at a roofs-to-roads asphalt recycling plant in Stratford, CT. The decking below was also inspected and revamped where necessary. A new roofing system with estate gray shingles was installed, which includes a tear-resist underlayment over Ice & Water Shield. We eliminated a small vent at the roof/wall intersection over the garage and added a ridge vent in this area to allow maximum breathability.
