Mold Remediation in Auburn Hills, MI

Inspection for a home sale showed mold in the attic.  Our company came in and remediated the mold using products RMR-86 and RMR-141 to remove the stain and mold from the sheathing and truss.  We also clear the soffits of debris and insulation and add all new duel baffles.

Insulation in Auburn Hills, MI

Our customer had ice dam issues and wanted it fixed for good. After our assessment of the attic and our recommendations the customer decided to have the job completed. We removed all insulation, air sealed top and bond plates also pipe and wire penetration and added new Cellulose to a Energy Star Rating of R60. The home is now in good shape with no air loss.

Blocked Soffit Vents Causing Mold In Auburn Hills, MI

Dark colored sheathing in the attic turns out to be mold!  Easily treatable we use RMR-86 Pro Stain Remover but we don't want the mold to come back, so we have to figure out why it was there to begin with.  Simple enough in this case, we found that insulation was blocking the soffit vents so the venting ratio was all out of whack (certain amount of air in, certain amount of air out equals a happy attic!) We cleared the vents so the attic system could 'breathe' properly to ensure the mold didn't come back.

Cold home in the winter in Bloomfield Hills, MI

Our customer called us because their home was always cold in the winter. After checking the attic our customer had a layer of batt insulation and missing or incorrectly installed baffles along with no covers for can lights and top plate weren't air sealed. We removed batt insulation and added can light covers and air sealed all the wire penetrations. Afterwards we topped off the attic with TruSoft Cellulose Insulation. Our customer noticed a difference on the furnace right away and could feel the comfort change.

Our customers home was cooler in the winter and hotter in the summer. After our inspection we found a lack of R Value in the attic. Our company came in and removed the insulation, air sealed and blown in Cellulose to a Energy Star Rating of R60. The home is now comfortable in all seasons.
