Once again it is my pleasure to provide kudos for two of Halco’s service providers. Dan Enright is amazing!  His plumbing knowledge and experience is irreplaceable.  He is also an outstanding mentor for the new young men he is training to become Halco Aces. Dan has been to my house 3 times and every time he has had a new understudy in tow.   Today he came with Dave.  I have observed that not only are his apprentices impressed by Dan’s expertise but it also speaks volumes about Dan that they totally enjoy working with him. I want to thank Halco for hiring terrific employees.  I know that, especially in today’s market, it is not easy to find good employees.  But Halco must be doing something right to have assembled such a great team.  

Hi I just wanted to say that Mike came out to my place and was not only really competent and did a great job, but he was also super-helpful and intuited some extra work that I really needed done so I was double happy with his work. I will be replacing that 80% furnace soon, but I just appreciate his help keeping it going.

Jacob came to my house today and performed maintenance work on my two minisplits. He was excellent. He tackled a difficult problem and SOLVED it. My minisplits are good to go for another year. He was wonderful. He was polite, CLEAN, didn't make a mess and anything that was even slightly messy was completely cleaned up. And oh yeah, just a really nice guy. Overall, he was superb. Hopefully all of your folks are as good as he is. glad to be back on board with Halco after letting my service agreement lapse.

Mike was at our house today with a very difficult plumbing problem! His ability to think outside the box and his willingness to spend the time that it took to solve the problem were exceptional!! Our house has had a string of impossible-to-solve plumbing problems for a long time. However, each time Mike has been able to use very clever tricks to solve the unsolvable! Today, Mike even outdid himself and was able to take out a metal spring and a ball of old wire that was clogging our laundry drain, using unconventional tools and his ability to assess the real problem! How did he even do that?!! He was also able to figure out the unique plumbing path (not the expected way of doing things), locate where the T was, and determine the weird direction of the pipes. I did not expect Mike to be able to solve the problem today but somehow he managed to do it! He is truly an amazing and dedicated problem solver! You should also know that I have been a customer service consultant in the past and I would rate Mike’s ability to work with me, the customer, as an 11 out of 10! He has excellent communication skills and was willing to work with me to solve the problem in a way that made me feel respected and part of the team. Thank you also for giving your plumbers cameras. Without these, I don’t think that Mike would have been able to locate and solve such an unusual problem. However, maybe I shouldn’t second guess Mike because he never gives up and somehow he always does the impossible!! Thanks Mike!!

Our solar panel sure looks better. Thank you so much for bearing with me and improving the look of the new solar panels. Gary and Ryan worked hard and did a fine job. Fingers crossed when the coating driest that the overall look will still be attractive. So grateful to Matt Dennis and your outstanding work teams for the many ways you have improved our home with you sustainable projects. Ready to make my final payment.

Hi there, I had a real dilemma with a broken boiler. It was not old. It was just installed improperly your company has done a great job. I just want to thank in particular Matt Dennis, who was so professional and knowledgeable and I feel like I’m working with a very different situation Than the previous people who installed a poor system and did not maintain it well either when they found the problems, So good for Halco it’s been a very good experience and Matt has navigated everything so professionally what a wonderful guy! sincerely, Dr. Colleen Colbert

I was impressed  how creative, determined your latest Halco crew was, coming up with the best way to install our 3rd floor heat pump. We got to meet lots of Halco staff and they were all efficient, helpful, considerate. They stuck with the job, consulted with advisors, and got the pump installed. Will Brown, Kyle Slyter, Zach Dube, Steve Large Ryan Van Wyk, Jake Clancey were all fine representatives for Halco.   Halco's office team is always helpful, supportive and flexible.   But, perhaps most important to this non- techy senior caring for very frail elderly spouse, is being able to consult with Matt Dennis from the first contact a few years ago, right up to today. He knows everything about our technically complicated large old house, which has been added onto and modified willy nilly since 1925. He is liked and appreciated by all who work with him. He is patient and explains complex issues as simply as possible.   Last of all, I thank Halco for supporting Energy Warriors. I created this program for OCFS and DOCCS decades ago. My dear friend and colleague Dr. Aloja Airewele, has been the director of this project since I had to retire. He relates how generous Halco has been helping new workers have opportunity to train with the best and sometimes be hired by Halco.  

Matt Dennis our first Halco contact, who knows our old, eccentric house better than anyone else, has been with us every step of the way. Last week Anthony and Mason's insulation tasks were completed. They worked hard and were  fine workers. This week the insulation and the third floor heat pump were inspected by two City of Ithaca inspectors. Matt and John Bisgrove were here and they were the perfect interface with the inspectors. Your consistently kind and efficient office staff sent us the balance due, the maintenance contract, and the Capital Improvement Certificate.   We have spent the biggest chunk of our savings for our home on Halco projects. We believe energy efficiency and sustainable sources are essential for a healthy planet. As elders we want to leave the next generations with the best chance of healthy life we can. And we have turned to Halco and Halco has not disappointed us. The work and the workers have all been good for us.   The Halco work quality has been consistently fine and the workers all seem reliable, polite, communicative and nice people. Halco's culture, training, and support must be terrific to have your folks in the trenches be so uniformly top quality.   But, what makes the biggest difference to me, (a 75 yo untech savvy senior, caring for a frail, disabled 89 yo spouse) is having Matt get to know us, our home, and help us figure out the best way to proceed. Without having one contact who can put the pieces together, we probably would have stopped after the first insulation projects.   We hope Matt Dennis will be recognized for his important role in our home makeover by Halco.   Many thanks.

I was amazed at how thorough a job was done. Never seen furnace so clean. John was amazing - respectful & considerate, & familiarity w/furnace was astounding - different from what the "normal" is today. You get used to someone doing a lousy job, so when the opposite takes place, you stand back in awe.

Very helpful and neatly done. Greatly appreciated that he fixed the furnace door.

Hi Matt, I just want to tell you that Josh is absolutely great, just like you!  He’s cordial, focused, hardworking, productive, patient, knowledgeable,  … totally “on the ball!”  I hope Halco recognizes his worth, and makes certain he has an upward path in the company.  Between you and Josh, I couldn’t receive better support and service!  Hal is lucky to have the two of you, and I’d like to tell him that!!
