These homeowners in Binghamton wanted to make some improvements to their home to make it more energy efficient. With the help of the NYSERDA program, we were able to help them do just that.
First, the crew dense packed the attic floor with our cellulose insulation and air sealed the attic to make sure air wasn't escaping through the attic and leaving the home. The crew then focused on the basement, spraying 2 inches of our closed cell spray foam into the rim joists to prevent the air from leaking into the home and bringing in cold air. The foundation walls were also sprayed with two inches of our closed cell spray foam, then a layer of our fire proof paint over the foam. This home is now much more energy efficient, and comfortable for the homeowners to enjoy!
The owner of this home in Binghamton was concerned about the insulation in her attic.
We removed the old insulation and sprayed 4 inches of closed cell foam on the slopes of her roof. Along with air sealing and blown in cellulose insulation we were able to keep more of her conditioned air from escaping. This resulted in a much more comfortable home and noticeable energy savings.
This Binghamton, NY home was only had minimal insulation.
Work was done all over the home but shown here is the basement. Two inches of closed-cell spray foam on the foundation walls made a big difference for this basement and for the home overall.
The owner of this Binghamton, NY home wanted to turn his garage into a living space.
One of several measures we took was an open blow of cellulose insulation, pictured here. This along with other work we did made this garage into the cozy living space that the homeowner was looking for.
This Binghamton, NY home needed insulation in its walls.
We dense-packed the walls with cellulose insulation. The siding was removed, holes were drilled and the cellulose was densely packed in through the holes. The holes were plugged. The siding was replaced and it was almost like we hadn't been there. The difference it made in the comfort of the home was very noticeable, however.
