Binghamton NY - Top Plate Sealing

While working on this attic in Binghamton, NY; our crew here at Foam It Insulation takes great care to seal many of the place air escapes into that many others don't think of sealing, such as can and recessed lighting fixtures, as well as top plates in the ceiling. Before insulating the attic with our TruSoft blown cellulose insulation, we ensured the attic was tightly sealed by sealing the rim joists as well as top plates.

Binghamton, NY - Dense Pack Ceiling

This home in Binghamton, NY had two seperate attics. One we dense packed the ceiling with TruSoft cellulose, covering it with Tyvek to keep the cellulose in place and one we did an open blow of our TruSoft cellulose.

This ceiling was lacking in good insulation. There were some fiberglass batts in the floors, but that doesn't provide adequate insulation as air still filters through fiberglass batts. By air sealing the rim joists and other areas in the attic prior to dense packing, the crew was able to ensure these homeowners will be much more comfortable in their home.

Binghamton, NY - TruSoft Cellulose

This Binghamton, NY homeowner was suffering from the heat and humidity of the summer months, but also noticed that the house was quite cool in the wintertime as well, despite their best efforts to keep the home warm. We air sealed the attic, including top plates, around light fixtures and rim joists before we did an open blow of 16 inches of our TruSoft cellulose insulation. Resulting in a much more energy-efficient and comfortable home.

Binghamton, NY - Spray Foam

This Binghamton, NY homeowner wanted to have part of his large garage spray foamed. 3 inches of our closed cell spray foam was sprayed to the walls and ceiling of this garage, ensuring that the garage will be able to be used year-round comfortably for whatever projects this homeowner desires.

Binghamton, NY - Cleanspace Installation

This Binghamton, NY homeowner had a small crawlspace that we proposed to encapsulate for him. First, we laid down the drainage mat and TerraBlock to the floor of the crawl space. We then laid the CleanSpace over top of the Terrablock. To make sure the CleanSpace stays in place, we used our closed cell spray foam to seal the CleanSpace to the edges of the crawl space. We used 3 inches of Closed Cell Spray foam on the walls to ensure that the CleanSpace stays intact.
