Triple H Crew insulated this home in Bellport, NY with 10" of blown in cellulose insulation and also air sealed all the air leaks in the space to prevent air leakage and drafts. Insulation does not stop air leaks, we first carefully air seal the many various points where air from your home leaks up into your attic and is lost. Then the 10" of TruSoft cellulose insulation is blown into the space. Trusoft will not burn, get moldy or attract pests. Blown Insulation fills all gaps and odd shaped voids. 

After Triple H Contracting completed a home energy assessment a this home in Ridge, it was determined that this customer's attic was lacking proper insulation, leading to comfort issues and excessive heating and cooling losses. To help improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs, we insulated the attic bringing the R-Value from R-9 to R-49. We also air sealed the electrical and plumbing penetrations and installed a storage platform at the customer's request. R-value is a measure of how well an object resists the conductive flow of heat; the greater the R-value, the greater the resistance, and so the better the thermal insulation properties. R-values are used in describing the effectiveness of insulation and in the analysis of heat flow across assemblies (such as walls, roofs, and windows) under steady-state conditions.

This customer in Ridge had a free home energy assessment. They were looking to lower their utility bills. After completing the assessment, it was determined the home could benefit from new insulation. A mechanical cat walk was built to give the customer a neat and clean storage space. This home also had can lights. Can lights are a huge source of lost heat. In order to make the home more efficient can light covers were installed. Cellulose insulation was blown-in making the home more efficient.

The previous owner did have insulation work done in the attic but it was insufficient. Triple H Contracting used cellulose insulation in the attic to make the home as efficient as possible. The homeowner will  feel more comfortable and save on utility bills. 

This customer from Ridge had just moved into the home and had a comfort concern. They wanted the home to be warmer and not spend a lot of money to do so. After the assessment was completed it was determined that this home could benefit from a mechanical catwalk as well as blown in cellulose insulation. The mechanical cat walk makes it easier to access the HVAC system, it also allows for a clean and neat storage area. The cellulose insulation will make the home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. The homeowner will see a reduction in their utility bills as well.
