Before:
The home was built using concrete block foundation walls and a concrete floor. Overtime as the original drainage system deteriorates or clogs up, water builds up and forces its way into the basement, this is sometimes referenced to as hydrostatic pressure. As shown, the seepage is pooling near the wall and floor joint.
After:
Advanced Basement Systems installed their interior drainage system called Waterguard along with a vapour barrier 2 feet high. The system is designed to divert the water to the sump pump to then be pumped away from the outside walls before it seeps through to the floor.

Problem: This below grade entrance was causing problems for these homeowners as it was built without a proper drainage system in place. The area was wet, a slip and fall hazard in the winter months, and the concrete floor was flaking away.
Solution: Our specialists repaired the concrete, installed a trench drain in the floor of the entrance and directed the outlet to drain in the newly updated TripleSafe Sump Pump system.
Now the homeowners are once again enjoying the benefits of their below grade entrance!

Problem: The home had a high moisture content in the crawl space. The exposed earth allowed year-round humidity to cause severe damage to the wood beam.
Solution: Install new support columns to hold up the reinforced beam, along with the Clean Space vapour barrier to seal off the home from the earth and finally a high-performance dehumidifier to allow the space to be conditioned and healthy.

Before
The house has a crack in the poured concrete basement wall, which is a common occurrence. It does not pose as a structural issue but often times will lead to water leakage. In this home the basement was finished.
After
Advanced Basement Systems installed their crack repair system called Flexispan. The system includes a urethane sealant in the crack, a drywell under the crack to drain the water and a polyurethane sealant on the wall to prevent water from leaking through. The entire system is flexible and will move with the wall as it moves over time.

Before
The homeowners called Advanced Basement Systems when they noticed several spots of moisture along the bottom of the finished basement walls. When the drywall was removed, several wall cracks and seepage along the floor revealed the issues causing the moisture.
After
Advanced Basement Systems installed the Water Guard system to alleviate the seepage along the floor-wall joint and a Flexispan Crack Repair to the cracks near the windows. The entire system will stop the water and allow the basement to dry and become a comfortable living space again!
