Dan had Gutter Shutter by Home Environment Solutions insulate his Venetia, PA home and was so impressed with the quality of work that he invited the team back out in the spring to upgrade his broken, sagging gutters. Our consultant, Russ went back out to the home to inspect the gutters and give Dan a new estimate. The Gutter Shutter by Home Environment Solutions gutter team arrived to find that Dan's gutters were filled with debris even though he had screens on them. The debris had caused the gutters to overflow and rot the facia on the home. The old gutters were removed and the Gutter Shutter system was installed. The new Gutter Shutter system was more efficient and also complimented the appearance of the home.   

Dave reached out because his two-story home was using more energy than it should, leading to higher utility bills. While the main living space felt mostly comfortable, the garage was uncomfortable throughout the year, which is often a sign of air leakage at the top of the home.

Our team focused on sealing the attic top plates to stop conditioned air from escaping into the attic and garage areas. By closing these common leakage points, we reduced unwanted air movement and helped the home hold temperature more effectively.

With the air sealing complete, the garage is now noticeably more comfortable year-round, and the home operates more efficiently with less wasted energy.

Amy from Mars Pa called saying she thinks she has mold growth in her attic. She would also like us to see what she can do to make her house more comfortable year round. We sent our expert Russell out to inspect the microbial growth and to preform a free home energy audit.  Russell found microbial growth in her attic, old insulation, non insulated pipe, wire runs and scuttle cover. Our crew first prepared the area by building a contamination barrier to protect the remainder of the home. They removed and disposed of all the old insulation, air scrubber in the attic, used a substrate cleaner to remove all organic contamination. After the growth was remediated they insulated the scuttle and walls with silverglo, air sealed all internal and external penetrations with Zypfoam and installed Trusoft cellulose on the attic floor.
