The "before" photo shows the challenging water intrusion they were facing. Our solution involved installing WaterGuard® for efficient drainage, IceGuard® to prevent blockages during freezing temperatures, and a DoubleSafe™ Sump Pump to ensure the space stays dry in all conditions. Homeowners in Bayfield, WI contacted DBS to address sinking support beams and water issues in their crawl space. Because the owners were transitioning this property from their cabin to permanent residence, they wanted a solid, long-lasting solution to give them peace of mind.

A DBS Design Specialist visited the property to provide a free, no-obligation estimate, evaluating the basement and creating a plan of action. From there, our Foreman and crew installed the SmartJack® System to brace interior support beams in the crawlspace. A CleanSpace® liner and matting were installed to assist with proper drainage, paired with an UltraSump® pump to keep the space free from water.

One of our crews installed a new sump pump, our WaterGuard® french drain system, and CleanSpace® water vapor barrier in the basement to thoroughly waterproof the space. Foreman Dustin Behning, along with a team, led the installation of this project. Together, the team installed the French drainage system in the floor. This drain collects water seepage from the walls and floor joists before it enters the home. It is then transported to a sump pump and discarded outside of the house. The drain is then covered with concrete, creating a flush look. 

These residents will no longer have to worry about painting and patching. Once the concrete is dry, the drain system will be on the job.
