Our Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist visited the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the insulation work. Our production crew installed 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam to insulate the great room as well as a few other rim joists in the rest of the home.

A Dr. Energy Saver® Design Specialist went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the property and conducting an energy audit, it was determined that air sealing, and blown-in insulation were necessary to effectively seal the space.

Our production crew first removed the existing insulation in the attic. They then sealed the gaps in building material and spaces surrounding the attic ducts with a layer of Spray Foam. From there, they used our TruSoft™ cellulose to blow into the space. TruSoft™ has a higher R-value than fiberglass and other cellulose materials. 

Sealing the attic was key to prevent warm air from escaping the home, improving the overall energy-efficiency and health of the space.

After inspecting the property and conducting an energy audit, it was determined that air sealing, and a combination of rigid foam and blown-in insulation were necessary to effectively seal the space.

Our production crew first removed the existing insulation and sealed the gaps in building material and spaces surrounding the attic ducts with ZypFoam™. From there, the applied TerraBlock™ directly to the super deck in the attic. They also blew-in a heavy layer of our TruSoft™ cellulose into the space. TruSoft™ has a higher R-value than fiberglass and other cellulose materials and will work wonders to protect the space. 

Sealing the attic was key to prevent warm air from escaping the home, and improves the overall energy-efficiency and health of the space.
