Bowing Wall in Tower, MN Restored Will PowerBrace System

This Tower, MN home was buit in the 1960's. Its walk-out basement, is partially below-grade and over time, one of the foundation walls was bowing inward significantly. After learning about DBS from a neighbor, they contacted us for a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation work. 

DBS Design Specialist Rich Johnsen visited the home and performed a thorough diagnosis of the foundation issue. His action plan for the basement was to install our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System.

The wood paneling was first removed in the basement and from there, our DBS Foreman and crew installed 5 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Our team anchored the beams to the basement concrete, as well as to the rim joists in the ceiling. These beams will be tightened overtime to restore the wall's original position.

Cracked Foundation in Superior, WI Stabilized with DBS

This 1912 home in Superior, WI had a significant cracked in the foundation. Concerned over this issues getting worse, the homeowners called us after seeing out ads on TV.

Foundation Cracks and Concrete Repair in Saint Paul, MN

Homeowners of this 1960's home in Saint Paul, MN were starting to notice cracks in their foundation worsening. It appeared that individual foundation blocks were shifting, and this was causing water issues for their finished basement. To prevent further damage, they reached our to DBS for more on our foundation repair service.

DBS Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home and performed a thorough inspection, assessing the basement wall cracking, as well as the exterior of the home. He discovered some shifting and cracking in a concrete slab near the home's foundation, which he determined was one source of the leaking basement. His action plan for the block walls in the basement was to install our PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System, and to lift and level the sinking concrete on the home's exterior. 

First, our Concrete Repair Foreman Dustin Behning remedied the sunken concrete issue with PolyLevel®, and sealed the cracks with NexusPro™.

DBS Foreman Zach Jorenby and crew installed 4 PowerBrace™ I-beams. Our team anchored the beams to the basement concrete, as well as to the rim joists in the ceiling. These beams will be tightened overtime to restore the wall's original position.

Shearing Foundation in Duluth, MN Restored with Wall Anchors

This Duluth, MN home was built in 1978 with a block foundation and a walkout basement. The homeowner started noticing issues with the foundation shifting in one particular portion of the lower level. After a referral from a friend, the homeowners contacted DBS for a permanent solution.

Design Specialist Henrik Makitalo visited the home to provide a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation repair work. He diagnosed the foundation as shearing - the bottom part of the wall had separated was pushing away from the rest of the wall.

Foreman Nick Burley and his crew installed 3 GeoLock™ Wall Plates and Earth Anchors to the failing foundation wall. This system uses the heavy-duty anchors in and connects them to plates on the wall interior wall. Connected with long, galvanized rods, these anchors are tightened to straighten the wall over time and provide maximum support.
