A homeowner in Paynesville, MN was experiencing issues with the crawl space of their home. The area was comprised of wood posts and cinder blocks to help support it, and over time, it began to settle and caused the floor above to sag. The owner was curious as to what DBS could offer for a solution, so we had a Design Specialist visit and give a free, no-obligation estimate for the crawl space repair. Our crew was able to install the SmartJack® System to help stabilize the sagging floor, and even work to push it back to the original positioning. The results of the project can be viewed here. 

Owners of this 1950's cabin in Paynesville, MN were experiencing issues with the foundation and crawl space. There was some considerable cracking in the foundation that was causing the structure to settle. After seeing our website, they decided to contact us in search of a permanent solution to the problem. 

A Dr. Energy Saver Design Specialist provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the foundation work and also provided a proposal for crawl space encapsulation. The cabin owners decided to go forward with both projects. The crawl space first had drainage matting laid on the dirt floors of the space. From there, DBS Foreman Zach Royer and his production team installed CleanSpace® vapor barrier to protect the space from moisture. Spray Foam insulation was also added to completely seal the space from outside air and moisture. 

This crawl space is now completely sealed, regulating temperature, and moisture levels for the entire home. 

This cabin owner in Litchfield, MN reached out to DBS after noticing that their cabin was settling on one side. They were concerned about their cabin collapsing towards the lake and wanted to fix this issue before it got worse. Our Design Specialist, Jason Swanson, made the trip out to the property and provided the cabin owner with a free, no-obligation estimate to find the best solution for this problem. After the inspection, Jason suggested installing 8 of our SmartJacks® along with 2 beams in order to stabilize the cabin. 

Foreman Jordan Salmi lead the installation of this project with the help of a team. Once the SmartJack® solution and beams were installed and the cabin owner was able to review the work, they were happy with the results our DBS team provided them in making their cabin a healthy, safe and comfortable place to stay!

A homeowner in Howard Lake, MN reached out to DBS regarding a wall issue they were experiencing in their garage. The wall was old and beginning to bow quite a bit in one corner. DBS sent out a crew to install the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System for the garage to help stabilize it, as shown in the photos.

This South Haven, MN cabin was built in the 1950s. The foundation has settled over time causing symptoms like uneven doors and windows, as well as bouncy floors on the main level. DBS Design Specialist Andy Bost is an expert in diagnosing structural issues in homes and cabins like this one. After completing a thorough inspection beneath the cabin, Andy designed a solution that would address the sinking and provide permanent support. Upon his inspection, he documented mold on many of the floor joists and prescribed our Mold-X Botanical treatment to rid the space of mold and add some protection to the beams going forward. 

DBS Foreman Zach Jorenby led the installation of this project. A supplemental steel beam was installed as well as our SmartJack system to lift and stabilize the sinking floors. This family cabin is healthy, safe, and comfortable once again!
