The owner of this home in Tower, MN was having issues with keeping their crawl space dry. There was water seeping through the concrete walls and it was causing water damage on the floors. Concerned about the integrity of their belongings in the crawl space if the issue was left unfixed, the owner called DBS.
Director of Sales & Service Royce Bunn went out to the property to conduct a free no-obligation estimate of the issue for the owner. After the inspection, Royce informed the owner that DBS had a waterproofing solution that would help keep their basement drier.
A DBS Foreman was sent out to the property along with a crew in order to install the waterproofing system. The system is composed of drains that are installed around the perimeter of the crawlspace by jackhammering a trench for the patented WaterGuard® drain system. WaterGuard® drains collect water running down from the walls and any water leaking up through the footings around the foundation and drops the water into an UltraSump™. The UltraSump™ then drives the water up and away from the foundation and if the power were to fail, a backup battery would kick in with the ability to remove up to 12,000 gallons before dying.
Now that the crawl space has been properly waterproofed, the homeowner can have peace of mind. They can relax comfortably in their home knowing that their crawl space will stay drier and promote healthier conditions while ensuring their belongings are safe.
