This homeowner from Stony Brook, NY wanted to reduce the drafts in their home. Triple H removed the old insulation, then air sealed the attic floor. Before blowing in Cellulose Insulation, TiteSheel Can Light Covers were installed over the recessed lights. Improperly insulated recessed lights are a major contributor to the loss of heat. The final step was to blow in the Cellulose Insulation. This home will now be more comfortable and less costly to heat/cool. 

A homeowner from Stony Brook, NY contacted Triple H Insulation looking to make their home more energy efficient year round. Our home comfort consultant Ryan performed a free evaluation of their home. Upon completion Ryan provided a solution to improve the attic insulation. Triple H Removed and disposed of all the existing insulation in the attic, then the team air sealed and insulated the attic floor with 10” of TruSoft Cellulose insulation. The home will now be more comfortable and energy efficient year round.

This customer had a concern of cold floors.  Cold floors can be a direct result of the rim joist not being insulated properly. A rim joist is the perimeter of the floor framing system along the outside of the house. The joints and gaps between the framing allows cool and warm air to flow from outside and in to the crawl space. This results in cool floors, drafty, uncomfortable rooms and higher utility costs. To solve this common problem, Triple H will install spray foam over the rim joist to prevent future air leakage. The expanding foam seals all gaps and cracks. This will result in warmer floors, less drafts and more comfortable rooms. Don't forget the energy savings too!
