Greg reached out to us in an attempt to keep his home a comfortable temperature without having to run his HVAC system constantly. He said that his home always felt hot during the summer and cold during the winter. We took a look in his attic and found that his insulation was low with only about 6 inches of fiberglass present. Greg decided that he wanted to add more insulation on top to bring his attic up to the R38 level recommended by Energy Star.

We began by air-sealing any visible leakage points to help prevent the flow of air between the attic and living spaces of the home. We then blew in 8 inches of premium, fiberglass insulation.

Now, Greg's home is cooler and more comfortable in summer, warmer in winter, and he will enjoy reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 25% for as long as he lives in that house.

Arlan contacted Tyson because he had done some research and was interested in having an attic fan installed. He'd had Tyson come out to his house before and upgrade his insulation, so he was already familiar with Tyson and the quality of work we do. We came out and inspected his attic to ensure that the ventilation was appropriate for an attic fan, and we confirmed that it was. It's vital to ensure that the positive intake is balanced with the exhaust so that the attic isn't negatively pressurized, which would suck air out of the home's living spaces and consume the conditioned air from the home.

We expertly installed a roof-mount solar fan, which was immediately ready to work since it was solar-powered. 

As a result of the fan installation, Arlan's attic will be cooler during extreme heat, which will help his HVAC system to be more efficient in keeping his home cool and comfortable. It will also help protect his roof from degradation as it won't be as exposed to the extreme heat.

Krista contacted Tyson Energy Solutions because she believed her insulation was low. Her home was cold in the winters and hot in the summers, and she was becoming increasingly concerned about her heating and cooling bills. We came out to investigate and found that her attic only had about 5 inches of old, dirty insulation. We asked Krista if any of her family members had any health concerns and she told us that her two children had allergies. Because of all these factors, we decided that a complete attic restoration was in order.

We first removed all of the old, contaminated insulation from her attic. We then thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer in order to eliminate contaminants and irritants that may have been contributing to her children's allergies. Next, we installed rodent-proof barriers to keep rodents and other pests out of the attic during the winter months and we sealed off other holes, gaps, and cracks using closed-cell foam. This included wire and plumbing penetrations, top plates, registers, and recessed lighting. This provides additional protection from air flowing between the attic and the home's living spaces. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a depth of 14 inches, bringing the home to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level of protection.

Because of our thorough work on Krista's attic restoration, she reports that not only is her home more comfortable temperature-wise, but she has seen a drastic reduction in her heating and cooling bills -- despite the rising cost of energy. Her children's allergies have also been virtually eliminated. They will be able to enjoy these benefits for as long as they live in the home.

Jared contacted us because his 1000-square-foot home was hot and uncomfortable. He was concerned that the summer months would become unbearable, not only temperature-wise but also in terms of his cooling costs. When we inspected his attic, we found that there was little to no insulation, maybe 1-2 inches, and there were numerous holes, goas, and cracks where hot attic air was able to flow into the living spaces of his home. We determined that performing  an attic restoration would be the best option for him.

We began the attic restoration process by removing the old insulation and all of the debris that was scattered throughout the attic. Next, we cleaned and sanitized the attic using DSV sanitizer. We then meticulously air-sealed the attic, including all top plates, wire and plumbing penetrations, registers, and recessed lighting. We also installed rodent-proof barriers to prevent rodents and other pests from entering the attic space. Once the attic was sealed, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a height of 14 inches, bringing Jared's attic up to the Energy Star-recommended R38 level.

As a result of our comprehensive attic restoration, Jared and his family will enjoy better indoor air quality, more comfortable temperatures in their home year-round, and reduced heating and cooling costs for as long as they live there.

Jacob reached out to us specifically to add insulation to what he already had in his attic. He had been in his attic and knew that his insulation level was low. When we inspected his attic, we agreed. He only had about 6 inches of insulation present, well below the Energy Star-recommended 14 inches. However, Jacob wanted to exceed the recommended level and have insulation added to bring him up to 18 inches. We determined that an insulation upgrade would be his best option to help keep his home's temperature comfortable year-round.

We began by air-sealing visible leakage points using closed-cell foam. We also ensured that all soffit vents were cleared and able to ventilate properly. Lastly, we blew in premium, fiberglass insulation to a height of 18 inches.

As a result of the insulation upgrade, Jacob will experience a cooler, more comfortable home during summers, a warmer home during winters, and reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30% for as long as he lives in the home.
