These homeowners from Brule, Wisconsin reached out to DBS for help stabilizing their cracked foundation walls. The lower level of their home was partially underground with the top third above the ground.
DBS Design Specialist Nathan Schroeder went to the home and provided a free, no-obligation estimate for the work. After inspecting the home, Nathan recommended installing GeoLock™ earth anchors to permanently stabilize the failing walls. The GeoLock™ support system works by connecting two plates together using galvanized steel rods and plates. One plate is installed outside the home in stable soil and the other is placed on the wall inside the home. Over time these connected plates are tightened to correct bowing walls.
This home was repaired by DBS Foreman Nick Burley and his production crew.
This home is now healthy, safe, and comfortable!

This was concerning for the homeowner, as it can lead to further structural issues with the home. In need of a solution, they reached out to DBS. After a free, no-obligation estimate, it was determined that the wall would need to have the PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System installed for extra support. All 4 walls in this basement in Aurora, MN were bowing to a large degree. There were stairstep cracks as well as large horizontal cracks in the block foundation and total wall failure was inevitable. Looking for a solution, the owner called DBS.
Design Specialist Rich Johnsen visited the home to conduct a free no-obligation estimate for the owner. After a thorough inspection, he recommended that the owners employ DBS to install PowerBrace™ Wall Bracing System to permanently stabilize their foundation.
Foreman Zach Jorenby less the installation of this project. With the help of a team together they installed 6 PowerBrace™ I-beams. The PowerBrace™ I beams are installed by securing steel brackets to the rim joists of the flooring. Over time the brackets can be tightened in an attempt to straighten the walls. Each PowerBrace™ is backed with a 75-year transferrable warranty so if the owners ever sell their property the next owners will be able to claim the warranty if the PowerBrace™ were to ever fail.
Now that the home has been permanently stabilized, the owners can relax comfortably in their home without worrying that their foundation walls will cave in.
