Foreman Dustin Behning led the installation of this project. Trenches were created around the perimeter of the basement and the drain lines were placed within. These drains will collect the unwanted water and transport it to the sump pump where it will be expelled form the home.

She noticed that her floors started to sag, as well as excess moisture in her living spaces. This time of year, when snow starts to melt and grounds become soaked with excess water, basement flooding can be a common problem among households. In Duluth, MN, a homeowner in the Park Point area was experiencing just this. Park Point is a hot spot for basement flooding, being right on the shores of Lake Superior. In Duluth, MN, a homeowner in the Park Point area was looking to upgrade their basement by adding support for their sagging floor, as well as making an improvement to their waterproofing system. After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the SmartJack® XL system would have to be installed for structural support, and our specially designed waterproofing plan would be put in place for this basement. In Park Point homes, our crews carefully place dimple drainage matting along the exisitng concrete floor, and then pour a new layer of concrete on top of that to elevate the flooring.
