This was causing gaps in their insulation that allow outside seasonal air to make its way into the 2nd floor of the home. This homeowner in Columbia, MD had noticed more and more that the bottom level of their home was more challenging to keep comfortable. Following a call to Complete Home Solutions our Home Comfort Specialist discovered there was older batt Insulation above their drop ceiling with no form of insulation in the rim joist along the exterior walls. The recommendation to fix this problem was to pull back the batt insulation in the ceiling and apply spray foam in the rim joist along all the exterior walls creating a solid barrier which restricts the outside air from making its way inside, and on the day of the job our Home Comfort Technicians took care of the rest.
